5,000 marijuana plants found on the Umpqua Natl. Forest

ROSEBURG - have discovered more than 5,000 marijuana plants in the Umpqua National Forest. More than 60 agents from several other agencies, including the US Forest Service removed the pot plants. One official said the garden covered between five and ten acres in Pinnacle Creek on public land. Forest Service employees discovered the site. And they wanted to remove the plants before the start of hunting season. Officials have no leads on who owns the marijuana plants.
